Quarter of a Century
Well today I am officially 25 years old. I don't know what is worse about turning 25, that I am halfway to 50 or only have one more year left on my parents insurance. However I can rent a car now! Some may put a negative label on me now; I am 25, single, and living at home with my parents. In 25 years, I also have made MANY mistakes of which I learned from, lost friendships I invested a lot of time in, been hurt by many people and hurt others as well and had the sorrow of loosing family members who joined the Lord in heaven. Though all of that is true, there is so much more that God has blessed me with. I have graduated from high school and college, I own my own car, I have a full time job AND own my own photography business. I have traveled to 32 of the 50 states, I have been on 7 mission trips in the past 5 years, I have made friendships I know will last forever, I lead a worship service every Wednesday, I have lost 70lb’s in the past 2 years and I have a pretty amazing family.
In the world today most just see the negative, but life is such a blessing that we cannot waste. I have been given so many opportunities to serve the Lord over the past 25 years. (In fact 3 of my 4 jobs are directly ministry related.) I mean really what better is a job than doing what you love and sharing God’s love? Can’t ask for any better.
I cannot wait to see what God has planned for me in year 25 but I am really excited to find out!
